A Must-Listen Podcast for Midlife Women Struggling With Sleep

As a CBT-I therapist who specializes in insomnia, I loved this episode of unPAUSED with Dr. Mary Claire Haver and Dr. Kristen Holmes.

Sleep can become much more difficult during perimenopause and menopause. Hormonal changes, anxiety, hot flashes, changing responsibilities, and the stress of midlife can all interfere with the body’s ability to rest and recover.

What I especially appreciated about this conversation is that it moves beyond generic sleep advice. They discuss circadian rhythms, morning light, exercise, alcohol, caffeine, supplements, wearables, and the connection between sleep and maintaining muscle as we age. They also emphasize creating habits that fit your actual life instead of blaming yourself for lacking willpower.

For midlife women who want practical, science-based information about sleep and recovery, this episode is a must-listen.
